We are seeking a talented and ambitious VP of People to join the Refine Labs team. As the VP of People you will design and execute on strategic talent initiatives that will ensure success at scale. You will drive Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and People Operations initiatives to evolve, enhance, and enrich our culture and the employee experience. 


We are building the best B2B demand marketing firm in the world. We’re writing the new demand marketing playbook that thousands of companies will adopt. Our collective work together will drive how companies execute marketing in the future. 

What you'll do at Refine Labs

Talent Acquisition: Define talent acquisition and employer branding strategy to maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates. Leverage external recruiting partners as needed with a focus on building an internal capability for candidate sourcing. Define our recruiting process to ensure a great candidate experience and ensure we hire for all key roles on time. 


Employee onboarding & professional development: Design and develop our employee onboarding experience and ongoing professional development sessions. Continuously improve based on feedback and new ideas. Create an environment which allows all of our team members to learn and grow on a consistent basis.  


Talent & Performance Management: Evolve existing Individual Success Plan framework for a scalable performance management process for our team. Includes designing appropriate career pathing for the business balancing company needs and employee growth potential while creating an effective feedback process between managers and direct reports. 


Employee experience and culture: Driver of our entire employee experience in a 100% remote setting. Own planning on annual team offsite, weekly team meetings and designing additional programming to keep the employees engaged and creating the conditions for our team to do the best work of their lives. 


PEO Management, Payroll & HR Administration: Owner of our relationship with our PEO [Rippling], payroll and HR administration. Primary point of contact for all HR related issues and escalations across the employee base. 

You Need
  • 5-7+ years of progressive people experience in a leadership capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to scale programs and practices— ideally, you've helped a company grow from 50 to 200+ people
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations
  • Acumen and executive presence to become a true business partner across the company
  • An approachable demeanor that inspires trust and confidence from leaders and individual contributors
  • DEI champion who thinks about DEI in all that they do
  • Delightful collaborator who people just love to work with
  • Exceptional coach and mentor for your team and the company
  • Highly organized doer who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves
